Bob Dudley, the cheif executive of the oil company BP, defended the company's cleaning up of the oil spill. He said the reporters were exagerating what really happened in the accident and the cleaning up of it. He also said that BP will not stop drilling for oil in the gulf of mexico.

This is is important to know because it tells us how BP feels about the oil crisis. If we know how BP feels then we can take a step to stopping ourselves from accusing them about things that are not really true. Even though BP will obviosly defend themselves, and we can't completely trust them, they are the ones who actually were in charge of the cleaning up and did it themselves. This also reveals a possible truth that the media has exaggerated things and might be able to think about previous news about BP and reconsider what happened and maybe learn the real truth.

Although cholera in Haiti is not spreading fast it is expected to spread a lot by health officials. In many people cholera has no symtoms. This means that you can unkowingly spread it to someone who will have symtoms. Since it is very crowded, insufficient sanitation, and not much clean water, the disease can spread very easily.

This is important to know because it can warn us of Haiti. Without reading this article or having this information provided, someone might go to Haiti and back and infect people in the place they live when they come back. It also reminds us of how lucky we are to have clean water, non crowded places, and good sanitation. It also gives us information on how cholera spreads which can help us if we have a cholera outbreak in the U.S. And most important, it reminds us of what is going on in the world and makes us more aware of problems that might come to where we live and makes things difficult, it gives us an idea of what this problem is like.
